Web Content and Project Management Lead
We‘re seeking an experienced Website Content Lead and Project Manager to manage content on Guardian web properties, including guardianlife.com and guardianwell.com. This role will be responsible for maintaining content on the platforms, publishing high-quality website content, and project managing the content development, review, and production.

Required:
4-8 years of total work experience in web publishing and content marketing
Hands on experience with Contentful CMS or similar CMSs like Drupal or AEM
Experience using Adobe Workfront
Keen eye for brand consistency
Project management and content operations experience
Working knowledge of HTML
Excellent verbal and email communications skills
Familiarity with Associated Press style of writing
Great organization skills, time-management, and effective communication
Great inter-personal and relationship building skills
Perform well under deadlines and deliver a high level of attention to detail
Comfort using AI content tools for drafting, summarization, and metadata, with strong editorial judgment to review and correct AI output
Adaptability and comfort learning new content tools and platforms as the tech stack evolves
Continuous-improvement mindset — looks for ways to make content workflows more efficient
Project manage content updates in Workfront platform (project management tool):
Review web requests that come in for Enterprise updates.
Make changes to live site and inform respective US partners and stakeholders.
Share weekly and monthly reports.
Collaborate with multiple US stakeholder simultaneously to get work done.
Keep content team’s editorial calendar up to date.
Run weekly meetings to keep projects on track.
Project manage web and thought leadership always-on content.
Serve as team’s Workfront SME.
Make content updates in Contentful CMS:
Edit and create new pages using Contentful CMS.
Send previews to project requester.
Work with creative on image sourcing as needed.
Work with development for fixing any dev issues.
Manage expiring content and broken links:
Review broken links report (through Ahrefs dashboard and internal weekly report) and correct any broken link found on any page throughout the site.
Generate expiring content reports and manage updating them or sunsetting pages with page owners in Workfront.
Support content governance:
Conduct content audits to categorize all pages and make a determination on next steps based on goals, data, usage, etc.
Provide ongoing content inventory support.
Update content taxonomy, URLs, meta data, and other data as needed.
Support content planning:
Conduct content calendaring for guardianlife.com.
Use enterprise‑approved AI tools to support your work while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
As our Web Content and Project Management Lead, you will report to our Web Content Managing Editor, who reports to our Enterprise and Brand Content Lead.
The primary location for this position is New York, NY, in-office three days a week.
Travel is not required for this position.
Salary Range:
$82,770.00 - $135,975.00The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
