The Content Localization team, responsible for dubbing, subtitling, accessibility, main/episodic titles, and marketing assets, plays a crucial role in delivering these programs to an expanding international audience by focusing on high-quality localized audio and text services, fostering a collaborative team environment, and utilizing cutting-edge technology.
As a Localization Title Producer, Live & Emerging Media, you will ensure that members experience the highest quality localized experience across both our live and post-live events and our emerging media slate, including Live streaming, video podcasts, sports highlights, and casual engagement content. You will preserve creative intent while enabling localization at scale through efficient workflows, automation, and assistive technology.

The Live & Emerging Media Title Localization Producer will serve as a single point of accountability for the localization strategy and execution across all assigned live events and emerging media formats, from planning through live execution and post-live or ongoing experiences.
This role is responsible for orchestrating the seamless delivery of localized assets, including dubbing, subtitling, main/episodic titles, accessibility, and marketing assets, ensuring that all localized experiences reflect Netflix’s creative vision, meet regional standards for quality and authenticity, and support a best-in-class member experience in real time and at scale.
A key focus for this team is the optimization and expansion of our Live workflows and scaled content ingestion for emerging media, building and refining workflows that leverage automation and assistive technology solutions. The producer will balance day-to-day operational management with supporting testing, pilots, and the implementation of new workflows, partnering closely with Language Production, Global Resource Management (GRM), and vendor partners to establish quality thresholds and manage quality at scale.
This role partners closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Product, Content, Post-Production, Marketing, Operations & Solutions, QC, Linguists, Language Production, Global Resource Management, Strategy & Innovation, and external partners, to optimize workflows, resolve operational challenges, and drive continuous improvement across both live and emerging media.
By championing operational excellence, scalable solutions, and data-driven decision-making, this role plays a critical part in delivering a world-class member experience and supporting the successful global launch of Netflix’s live and emerging media content.
Own the end-to-end, title-level localization strategy and execution for assigned live events and emerging media content, serving as the single point of accountability from initial planning through live execution, post‑live delivery, and, where relevant, ongoing release cycles, with a focus on creative excellence, reliability, and a seamless member experience across live, post‑live, and on‑demand contexts.
Oversee all localized components, including subtitles, dubs, accessibility assets, main/episodic titles, and related marketing or asset types, proactively managing expectations, timelines, budgets, quality control, and launch readiness.
Collaborate on localization strategy for new content offerings and workflows, partnering closely with Strategy & Innovation, Vendor Strategy, Localization Quality, Language Production, GRM, and vendor partners to test, refine, and implement scalable models (including automation and assistive technologies) for live and emerging media.

Act as the primary localization point of contact for the live and emerging media titles under your management, centralizing title‑level localization strategy and maintaining accountability across title‑launch teams (e.g., Product, Creative Leads, Production Services, Language Production, GRM, Strategy & Innovation, Post‑Production, Marketing, etc.).
Facilitate collaboration between Netflix teams, localization partners, and linguists to align timelines, deliverables, and quality standards across regions and languages.
Advocate on behalf of Content Localization with local cross‑functional stakeholders, while representing local market and member needs back to functional partners to ensure globally consistent yet locally relevant live and emerging media experiences.
Provide guidance, documentation, and peer‑to‑peer support to help other producers work across slates and regions, fostering continuity across the global Title/Localization Producer community.
Plan, schedule, and manage localization workflows for each assigned live event and emerging media slate, including defining title‑level language strategy, coordinating vendor assignments, managing schedules and budgets, and overseeing asset delivery across live, post‑live, and recurring publishing cycles.
Oversee context gathering, complexity assessment, source material distribution, and project tracking, ensuring that localization partners are set up to deliver assets that meet Netflix’s creative standard under fast‑moving, time‑sensitive conditions.
Manage highly time‑sensitive and often confidential projects, anticipating and mitigating localization challenges while maintaining operational efficiency and business continuity.
Identify, assess, and manage project and live‑event risks, including real‑time issue detection and mitigation; escalate quality or operational issues as needed to keep launches and updates on track.
Partner with Language Production, GRM, Localization Quality, and vendor partners to establish and manage quality at scale, using clear thresholds, sampling strategies, and feedback loops tailored for emerging media and automated/assisted workflows.
Monitor and respond to member‑reported issues related to localized live and emerging media experiences, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive timely fixes and systemic improvements.
Gather, analyze, and report on data related to live and emerging media localization performance, including operational metrics, quality indicators, and member impact, to identify opportunities to optimize workflows and reduce inefficiencies.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across multiple dimensions of the live and emerging media localization business, using insights to inform title‑level decisions and to influence shared strategy for new offerings and workflows.
Champion the adoption of new practices, workflows, automation, and technology to streamline localization processes and support the integration of emerging media types and evolving product experiences.
Foster a culture of partnership, transparency, and continuous improvement within the team and with external partners, particularly as it relates to scaling localization for Live and emerging media.
5–10 years of experience in localization, live localization production, or project/program management, working on language launches, creative content, and/or dubbing/subtitle localization in a high-demand, fast-paced environment (ideally within the entertainment or technology industry).
Demonstrated ability to handle a fast-paced environment, supervising multiple projects at various stages, including time-sensitive and confidential live events and/or high-volume emerging media workflows.
Solid, in-depth knowledge of localization, ideally including experience with live, near-real-time, or high-volume content pipelines.
High proficiency in data gathering and analysis, including establishing and measuring KPIs, interpreting operational and quality data, and using insights to optimize workflows and reduce inefficiencies or member-facing issues.
Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects, collaborating effectively with creative, operational, technical, and product teams.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; able to work effectively across global teams and time zones, and to influence without formal authority.
Strong systems-thinking and strategic problem-solving skills; able to see how global/local and creative/operational needs intersect, and to design solutions that balance quality, speed, scalability, and automation.
Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with automation and assistive technology within content or localization workflows.
Ability to make sound independent decisions, with clear judgment on when and how to escalate issues.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities and tight deadlines, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and occasional travel to support live events as needed.
Working knowledge of industry-standard localization tools, workflows, and the local partner landscape; familiarity with competitors and best practices in the localization and/or live media space.
Adaptable and resilient in the face of change and ambiguity; comfortable with evolving priorities, experimentation, and a rapidly growing Live and emerging media slate.
Passion for operational efficiency, localization, and/or project management, especially in contexts that require both innovation and scale.
Fluency in English required; additional languages a plus.
Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $132,000.00 - $220,000.00.
