Position Summary
The Senior Director - Product Marketing, Oncology Therapy Selection is responsible for leading the strategic vision, positioning, commercialization, and lifecycle marketing strategy for Caris' Oncology Therapy Selection portfolio, including MI Cancer Seek® and Caris Assure™. This role provides strategic leadership for the Product Marketing Directors supporting each product and is accountable for driving commercial growth, market adoption, and competitive differentiation across the portfolio. Working cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Research & Development, Clinical Development, Product Management, Sales, Market Access, Business Development, and Commercial Operations, this leader develops and executes integrated product marketing strategies that translate complex scientific evidence into compelling value propositions for healthcare providers, health systems, and strategic partners. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in oncology, precision medicine, molecular diagnostics, or life sciences marketing, with a proven ability to lead high-performing teams, successfully commercialize innovative products, and drive market leadership.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and execute the product marketing strategy for the Oncology Therapy Selection portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, commercial priorities, and long-term business goals.
Provide strategic leadership and coaching to Product Marketing Directors responsible for MI Cancer Seek® and Caris Assure™, ensuring alignment across portfolio strategy, messaging, and execution.
Define differentiated product positioning, value propositions, and messaging grounded in clinical utility, health economic value, and patient outcomes.
Lead commercialization strategies, including launch planning, market expansion initiatives, new product introductions, and lifecycle management activities.
Develop customer segmentation, targeting, and channel strategies that drive adoption among oncologists, community providers, health systems, and strategic partners.
Partner closely with Sales Leadership to develop field enablement strategies, including sales tools, training, messaging, and customer engagement resources.
Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Research & Development, Clinical Development, Product Management, Market Access, Business Development, and Commercial Operations to ensure alignment across product strategy, evidence generation, and commercialization efforts.
Translate scientific and clinical evidence into compelling marketing strategies and customer-facing communications that support product differentiation and adoption.
Monitor market dynamics, competitive intelligence, customer insights, and emerging clinical evidence to refine product positioning, messaging, pricing, and commercialization strategies.
Incorporate voice-of-customer feedback and real-world evidence into ongoing portfolio strategy and marketing initiatives.
Partner with Market Access to communicate the clinical and economic value of Caris products, supporting reimbursement strategies, payer engagement, and value communication.
Support key opinion leader (KOL) engagement, scientific communications, conference strategy, and brand-building initiatives that strengthen Caris' leadership in precision oncology.
Influence product roadmap decisions by providing commercial insights and identifying evolving market opportunities.
Establish performance metrics to evaluate product marketing effectiveness and continuously optimize commercial execution.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MPH, PhD, MD, or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
Twelve (12) or more years of progressive experience in product marketing, commercial strategy, or related leadership roles within healthcare, life sciences, biotechnology, diagnostics, or precision medicine.
Experience in oncology, molecular diagnostics, or precision medicine strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success leading product launches, commercialization strategies, and sustained revenue growth for complex healthcare products.
Strong understanding of clinical evidence generation, regulatory requirements, reimbursement, and healthcare market dynamics.
Proven ability to lead, develop, and mentor high-performing marketing teams.
Exceptional strategic thinking, executive communication, presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and effectively manage multiple strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands

Ability to occasionally lift routine office supplies and operate standard office equipment.

Travel
This position requires periodic travel, including customer meetings, internal business meetings, National Sales Meetings, industry conferences, and other business-related events. Occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
