The Senior Director - Head of Product Management Content Tech & AI, is a global leadership role with end-to-end accountability across Product Management for Marketing Content Tech and Content AI — spanning strategy, roadmap, delivery, and driving adoption in collaboration with the Global Commercial Excellence team.
The role will oversee a team of Product Management experts with accountability for all our global Marketing tech and AI platforms that enable customer engagement and content.
More broadly this role will also lead the AI CT (AI Commercialization team), with support and chairmanship coming from the ED, Digital & Innovation. The AI CT is the strategic decision-making body for AI across commercial covering all areas of AI from Strategy, learning, to change and adoption.
The role holder will be expected to oversee, lead and coordinate the commercial AI strategy with support and direction from the Executive Director, Digital & Innovation, ensuring delivery of scalable, high-impact solutions that transform how we use AI across commercial globally.
The Senior Director will act as the primary business owner and strategic leader for AI in Marketing, partnering closely with Global Commercial Excellence, IT, Legal/Compliance, Global Strategic Marketing, Global Decision Sciences and Insights (GSDI) and affiliate Marketing teams to ensure solutions are aligned to business priorities and deliver measurable value.
Key Responsibilities
Set Strategy, Direction, and Roadmap
Lead, coach and develop a team overseeing product management for our critical AI enabled Marketing and content tech platforms.
Define and own the AI for Marketing strategy & delivery, aligned to enterprise priorities and commercial objectives
Establish and maintain a multi-year roadmap of AI capabilities across content creation, personalization, and MLR
Prioritize use cases based on a clearly defined business need and impact, scalability, and feasibility
Translate emerging AI capabilities into practical, deployable marketing solutions
Collaborate closely with IT to regularly scan the market and be aware of new AI marketing capabilities as they appear.
Drive personalization at scale with AI derived content
Leading the Product Management team for Marketing tech and AI, partnering with key stakeholders across Global Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, Marketing excellence and IT. Define the AI capabilities, workflow and operating model to allow us to create highly personalized AI derived content at scale.
Drive standardization of content workflows (briefing, generation, localization, derivative creation) across the organization in collaboration with Commercial Excellence team.
Partnering closely with Global commercial excellence redefine marketing workflows so enable us to embed and scale AI content generation.
Measure and ensure the development and scaling of AI-enabled content creation at scale delivers business impact. Measure and monitor KPI’s closely.
Transform content approvals and MLR through AI
Supporting the Director of Product Management for content approvals and AI to define vision, roadmap and scaling plan for AI content approvals.
Scale capabilities including automated pre-review, risk scoring, and AI-assisted review
Partner with Legal/Regulatory to redesign MLR processes, delivering material improvements in speed, quality, and efficiency
Partnering with Key stakeholders – Commercial Excellence & IT
Act as the senior business partner to Commercial Excellence, helping guide and informing us about the impact AI will have on the future of Marketing.
Work with IT to shape and deliver scalable AI platforms and solutions that enable us to transform marketing capabilities and increase impact.
Work closely with IT to ensure any solution has data, security, and compliance requirements embedded from inception.
Ensure any new AI for Marketing capabilities have a clear end state operating model defined across business and technology teams to ensure scalability and adoption.
Lead Delivery and Execution Excellence
Oversee end-to-end delivery of AI marketing use cases, ensuring pace and quality
Define quarterly priorities, milestones, and execution plans
Ensure all capabilities are tied to clear business outcomes and measurable value
Act as escalation point for complex cross-functional delivery challenges
Stakeholder Leadership and Influence
Engage senior stakeholders (e.g. CLT, Commercial Excellence leadership, IT leadership) as needed, to align priorities and outcomes
Build strong cross-functional alignment across Marketing, IT, Legal, and affiliates
Act as a visible internal thought leader on AI in Marketing
Partnering with Commercial Learning & Development team to develop learning programs to embed new AI capabilities.
Bachelor's Degree and Fourteen Years’ Experience

Masters' Degree and Twelve Years’ Experience

PhD and Twelve Years’ Experience
Strong strategic & enterprise thinking with ability to translate strategy into execution and measurable outcomes across a commercial organization
Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and ability to influence effectively within a matrix environment
Global experience with an enterprise mindset
Experience with digital, omnichannel, and modern marketing capabilities within large biopharma environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment
Relevant experience in pharma/biotech across marketing, sales, consulting, or transformation roles preferred
Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing teams, with ability to balance empowerment, accountability, and delivery
Experience contributing to/or leading transformation initiatives and supporting change management efforts
