Who We Are:
Tenex is where builders, operators, and problem-solvers come together to help the world’s most ambitious companies go from AI-absent to AI-native. We work at the intersection of strategy and engineering, embedding elite AI SWAT teams directly into organizations to turn complex, high-stakes problems into real, measurable outcomes. We don’t do slide decks and hand-offs; we sit in the trenches alongside our clients to build & drive real transformation.
We operate with the speed of a startup and the rigor of a storied institution. Our culture is built on intellectual curiosity, radical ownership, and a belief that exceptional work comes from diverse teams who are empowered to challenge assumptions, move fast, and hold each other to a higher standard. If you want to work on projects that actually matter, alongside people who push you to be your best, Tenex is the place to do it.
The Role:
As Producer & Editor, you’ll build and own the content engine that powers Alex Lieberman’s (Cofounder of Tenex & Morning Brew) voice in the world. You’ll partner directly with him to schedule, produce, edit, and ship every piece of content across YouTube, short-form video, X, LinkedIn, and the rest of the platforms where his audience lives.
Today, that voice reaches a combined audience of more than 785,000 people: 292K on X, 208K on LinkedIn, 153K on Instagram, 119K on TikTok, and 12K on YouTube. This role is the lever to compound it.
You’ll run production end-to-end (long-form YouTube, short-form clips, written content drafted in Alex’s voice) and own the operating layer that keeps the engine moving: booking guests, coordinating calendars, managing gear and set, and running the production calendar so nothing slips.
Just as importantly, you’ll reimagine what an AI-native content function looks like. We’re looking for someone who is AI-pilled to their core: deep in the tech, on top of every new model, tool, and workflow as it drops, and obsessed with how AI compounds the leverage of a single creator. The default at Tenex is to build with the frontier, not around it. This role is the chance to do that for content.
You’ll also be the creative partner behind one of Tenex’s most consequential investments: the brand and reach of its co-founder. That means owning how Alex’s voice shows up in the world (what gets made, how it’s framed, where it lands) and giving him the leverage to spend his time where it’s most valuable.
This is a high-ownership seat for an operator who has done this before, has the production and editing chops to ship great work themselves, and is energized by building a content machine inside a fast-growing company.
What You’ll Do:
Own the YouTube engine end-to-end. Run pre-production, shoot logistics, editing, thumbnails, and publishing for long-form videos; turn each shoot into a sharp finished product that builds on Alex’s body of work.
Build the short-form pipeline. Cut long-form footage into Reels, TikToks, and Shorts; write hooks and captions; publish across channels with a rhythm that keeps Alex top of feed.
Draft written content in Alex’s voice. Ghostwrite and edit X threads, LinkedIn posts, and newsletter pieces that sound like him on his best day.
Run production logistics. Book guests, coordinate calendars, manage gear and the set, and own the production calendar so shoots happen on time and at the bar Alex expects.
Reimagine the content stack as AI-native. Identify, test, and integrate new models and tools (editing, transcription, ideation, voice/avatar, distribution) and build the workflows that let one operator output what used to take a team.
Drive the rhythm of the content engine. Establish the cadences, dashboards, and reviews that keep production moving, surface what’s working, and feed the best ideas back into the next round.
Build the foundation for what comes next. Evolve the systems, tools, and (eventually) the team needed to scale Alex’s content output without losing the voice that makes it work.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
3+ years of progressive experience producing and editing content for a creator, founder, executive, or media brand. You’ve owned a content pipeline end-to-end.
A strong portfolio of long-form video work. You can point to YouTube videos (or equivalents) that you produced and edited from raw footage to finished product, and you can articulate the choices behind each cut.
Real chops in short-form. You know how to find the moment, cut a hook, and ship in the formats that move on Reels, TikTok, and Shorts.
A writer’s instinct. You can draft a thread, post, or newsletter in someone else’s voice and have it sound like them; bonus if you’ve ghostwritten for a public figure before.
Operational discipline. You’ve run a production calendar, booked guests, wrangled gear, and held shoots to schedule without sacrificing creative quality.
Deeply AI-pilled. You’re actively using the frontier tools in your day-to-day, you can name what shipped this month and what it changes, and you have a point of view on how AI rewires the content stack from idea to distribution. Bonus if you’ve already built AI-native workflows that produced real output, not demos.
Bonus: experience producing content for a founder, creator, or executive whose personal brand drives commercial outcomes. You understand that the work has to land, not just look good.
Exceptional taste and judgment. You know the difference between content that’s polished and content that pops, and you can defend the choice when the partner pushes back.
High ownership and low ego. You’re happy to edit until 11pm, push back on the partner when the hook isn’t there, and operate without a playbook.
