This role will be based in Celtic Lakes. Our new 237,000-square-foot Newport facility provides additional production and customer collaboration spaces, including 25,000 square feet of R&D clean rooms, 35,000 square feet of state-of-the-art manufacturing space and tool demo areas, all designed to support development of semiconductor process technologies across advanced packaging, power devices, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), radio frequency (RF) and photonics sector technology.
Role Purpose
A highly transparent management role accountable for the governance, execution, and continuous improvement of Copy Exactly (CE!) and Customer Change Notification (CCN) processes. The role ensures that product, process, documentation, and supply chain changes are implemented compliantly, consistently, and traceably, protecting customer commitments, quality performance, and regulatory readiness.
The role sits at the center of organisational growth, ensuring manufacturing builds strictly to released BOMs, approved engineering changes, and customer requirements. This includes training internal teams and suppliers to maintain an audit‑ready, compliance‑first culture.
Core Responsibilities
1. CE! (Copy Exactly) Program Ownership
- Act as site/program owner for CE governance, defining and controlling critical components (process parameters, tools, equipment, materials, software, routings, work instructions).
- Maintain CE standards, checklists, and compliance frameworks, including exception handling and re‑certification.
- Lead CE assessments and lead non‑compliances through detailed risk assessment, approval, and corrective action.
- Ensure customer communication of component or process changes via KLA workflows and customer systems (e.g. ECCOS).
2. CCN (Customer Change Notification) Governance
- Lead the end‑to‑end CCN process: intake, impact assessment, approvals, customer notification, implementation, and closure.
- Ensure timely, accurate notifications for changes impacting form, fit, function, process, test, suppliers, materials, documentation, packaging, labelling, or performance.
- Chair monthly CCN governance reviews, collecting findings and driving efficiency.
3. BOM & Configuration Compliance
- Ensure BOMs and system configurations accurately reflect all approved component and engineering changes prior to build and shipment.
4. Supply Chain Change & Compliance Management
- Govern supplier and material changes (AVL, PCNs, alternates, material certifications).
- Coordinate cross‑functional review and qualification of supplier changes before implementation.
- Drive supplier CE/change‑control readiness, traceability, and documentation compliance.
5. Training & Competency Ownership
- Define and deploy role‑based training for CE, CCN, and change‑control processes across the organisation and supply chain.
- Ensure training is supervised, effective, and supported by audit‑ready evidence.
6. Quality & Regulatory Readiness
- Ensure CE/CCN processes align with QMS and support customer and external audits.
- Lead or support investigations and CAPAs related to change control, BOM accuracy, or training gaps.
- Maintain an “audit‑always‑ready” posture through strict documentation and traceability.
7. Metrics, Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Establish dashboards and operating rhythms for compliance performance.
- Use data to reduce escapes, rework, and cycle time.
- Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to improve change efficiency, approval lead time, and right‑first‑time adoption.
Decision Rights
- Approve/reject CE changes and deviations.
- Block implementation of non‑approved or non‑trained changes (stop‑the‑line authority).
- Define CCN governance rules and implement cross‑functional adherence.
Key Results
- CE compliance plans, critical component lists, and audit results
- Full CCN log with customer communication traceability
- Change‑control and BOM compliance dashboards
- Training matrices and proficiency records
- Supplier change qualification documentation
