About the Role:
Wiley's Research Publishing division is seeking a Manager, Comprehensive Editorial Evaluation to lead a high-performing team of in-house subject matter expert (SME) editors. This is a pivotal leadership role at the intersection of science, editorial excellence, and people management.
As Manager, you will oversee a team of approximately 7–8 Handling Editors — each a credentialed researcher with advanced degrees — who manage the end-to-end peer review process across one or more specialist journals aligned with their scientific expertise. Your leadership directly supports Wiley's mission to grow article output, deliver outstanding author experiences, and uphold the quality of our journal portfolio.
You will split your time approximately 40% on people management and 60% on peer review, serving also as a senior editorial resource and point of escalation for complex cases such as challenging author rebuttals and research ethics issues.
