Lead content strategy development across brands and campaigns, ensuring content plans are aligned with business goals, audience behavior, and platform performance. This role oversees integrated content planning across social, video, KOL, and digital channels while managing collaboration between media, creative, social, and performance teams.
The Group Head is also responsible for leading the Content Planning team, managing senior client relationships, and driving content effectiveness through data and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Strategy
- Lead integrated content strategies across campaigns and always-on activity
- Define content roles by platform and audience objective
- Translate media and business objectives into clear content direction
- Ensure content plans support brand, performance, and campaign goals
- Identify opportunities based on audience behavior, trends, and platform updates
- Content Planning & Development
- Oversee development of content briefs, messaging, and campaign narratives
- Ensure consistency of messaging across channels while adapting content formats per platform
- Work closely with creative, social, and production teams during execution
- Review content outputs to ensure alignment with strategy and timelines
- Support development of platform-first and creator-led content approaches
- Performance & Optimization
- Monitor content performance across engagement, views, CTR, watch time, and conversions
- Analyze performance data to identify content improvements and optimization opportunities
- Recommend content adjustments based on results and audience response
- Apply insights from platform trends, social listening, and competitor activity into planning
- KOL & Social Integration
- Lead KOL and creator content planning across campaigns
- Ensure influencer content aligns with campaign objectives and brand messaging
- Coordinate integration between paid media, organic social, and creator content
- Work with influencer/KOL teams to support amplification plans and content rollout
- Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and manage Content Planning team members across projects
- Work closely with media, strategy, creative, social, and performance teams
- Ensure plans are realistic based on timelines, budgets, and platform requirements
- Support pitches, campaign planning, and internal strategic discussions
- Client Management
- Lead content strategy presentations and discussions with clients
- Explain strategic recommendations clearly using data and rationale
- Support regular performance reviews and optimization recommendations
- Build strong working relationships with key client stakeholders
Key Capabilities & Skills
- Strong understanding of content strategy, social platforms, and digital ecosystems
- Experience developing integrated campaigns across social, video, and creator content
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret content performance data
- Clear communication and presentation skills
- Strong stakeholder and team management capabilities
- Able to manage multiple brands and projects simultaneously
- Strong PowerPoint/Google Slides and Excel/Google Sheets skills
Basic Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience in content strategy, social media, digital marketing, or related fields
- Experience managing integrated campaigns and leading teams
- Experience working with KOLs, creators, and digital-first campaigns
- Strong understanding of platform formats and content performance metrics
