The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $79,400 - $104,300. The offered salary will be based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations.
Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a social media champion to join our Marketing team. This is a full-time opportunity that reports to the Manager of Digital Marketing.
The selected candidate will be the subject matter expert for social media & content within TCI. They will manage the day-to-day social activities (content & media) of both Toyota & Lexus across all social platforms. They will also be responsible for managing content creation for the Toyota.ca blog.

What You’ll be Doing:
- Day to day lead for social media management and content development for Toyota & Lexus. Work closely with Digital Manager to build strategy, and execute social and content initiatives that will support key product launches, sales objectives and retention objectives
- Develop Social Media strategy and lead the charge in execution of social media management
- Manage, monitor, create and execute campaigns across social media platforms such as Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok & YouTube. Delegate roles amongst team to provide engaging content with a strong brand voice for social media channels and synergy among all platforms
- Understand social metrics using tools such as Falcon and Sysomos Measure and analyze campaign metrics with the goal of adjusting tactics to optimize traffic, conversion rates and overall performance
- Manage analytics, reporting and dashboards to maximize the social experience for all customers; leverage insight to identify opportunities for improvement and rationale for business decision making
- Provide engaging content with a strong brand voice for social media channels and execute daily posts staying current on what’s trending online and what people are talking about
- Be an expert in digital communication and social media subject matter expert by staying abreast of and maintaining a deep knowledge of social media trends, strategies, platforms, tools, best practices, etc., helping define future strategies and what’s next for the brand
- Work with agencies, vendors and TCI marketing teams to develop monthly content calendar for all social media platforms
- Contribute with creative ideas on how to leverage social media to help achieve business and communications objectives
What You’ll Bring:
- College Diploma or University Degree preferably in Marketing or related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge and understanding of current and emerging digital/social media platforms is required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated project leadership experience, with strong organizational and negotiating skills
- Ability to work across the organization to build alignment and consensus on key initiatives
- Detail-orientation and ability to multitask efficiently
- Self-motivated with ability to start and complete projects with limited to no supervision
- Proven ability to initiate & improve work processes to increase efficiency
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
