Job Overview/Summary: The Content Development Manager is responsible for coordinating with participating organizations to build, maintain, and update the information database. The information database will collect, curate, and develop information products on available services, humanitarian/development activities, and other topics relevant to crisis-affected people and communities, and that are necessary for effective operation. This position reports to the Senior Project Manager.
This position is only opened for Myanmar National candidates.
Major Responsibilities: (not exhaustive)
Database Management
- Ensure effective function and use of the content management system (e.g., Contentful) and other information database tools to store, organize, and use shared and created content;
- Ensure accessibility to information within the database to crisis-affected people and communities, staff and participating organizations, including using dedicated websites, social media, and information AI-powered retrieval systems (e.g. Google NotebookLM);
- Ensure information within the database system is protected and accessed in line with relevant data protection and privacy SOPs and standards.
Content Management & Development
- Support the identification of information required for the function and to ensure effective information provision and accountability to crisis-affected people and communities
- Coordinating with stakeholders, develop and manage systems/processes to regularly plan for, collect, and update required information from participating organizations and other stakeholders.
- Ensure information is properly organized and tagged for use by agents, communities, and other stakeholders
- Identify need for new content/information, and usher content from first draft through editing and translation to final published form(s) tailored for multiple platforms (e.g. website, social media)
- Work with the IM Manager and other stakeholders to conduct regular analysis on information needs and produce analyses and reports tailored for specific audiences.
Team Management
- Provide leadership, supervision and guidance to the subordinates, such as Call Center Officers, to ensure high-quality performance and timely delivery of outputs.
- Oversee the day-to-day implementation of team workplans, monitor progress against the project’s objectives, and provide regular coaching, mentoring and performance feedback.
- Foster collab
- oration across team members, promote effective communication, and ensure efficient coordination with other stakeholders.
- Support staff capacity development by identifying learning needs and facilitating training opportunities.
Other Tasks
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Education:
- BA/BS in Journalism, Communications or a field in the humanities desired but not required.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 5 years knowledge mgmt./editing experience required; sub-editing/copy editing experience strongly desired.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge management, communication, and coordination skills.
- A clear and friendly attitude, the ability to follow instructions.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, solid IT skills (including working on multiple platforms simultaneously), problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a professional manner while meeting targets in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent time management and language skills.
- Experience using CMS, knowledge of online content best practices, knowledge of social media strategy and content best practices.
- Experience in a newsroom and/or humanitarian organization desired.

Working Environment: The Position will be based in Yangon, Myanmar with less than 20% of travel to the different locations in Myanmar.
