Position Overview
We're looking for a Copywriter / Brand Storyteller to help define how the world talks about an entirely new category. This is a part-time contract role for a sharp consumer writer who can take an unfamiliar idea—emotionally intelligent Physical AI—and make it feel human, desirable, and inevitable.
You'll own the words that shape first impressions. This is category-building work, so you'll be writing, listening, and testing in equal measure — paying close attention to how language lands and refining the story as we learn.
What You'll Do
Write consumer-facing copy across social, web, email, and campaign moments that leads with emotion and mission before product specifics.
Develop and sharpen the category framing for Familiars, helping shift perception from "pet" to an emotionally intelligent platform.
Craft messaging that makes a novel concept feel intuitive, warm, and desirable.
Test how messaging is received — across audiences and channels — and iterate based on what resonates.
Partner with our social content creator to keep narrative consistent across written and visual content.
Help maintain a clear, evolving voice and messaging foundation as the brand identity is finalized.
Adapt tone for distinct audiences, from consumers to potential partners and investors.
What You'll Have
4+ years writing consumer-facing copy for a brand, agency, or startup.
A portfolio that shows range—short-form social, campaign lines, and longer narrative or brand storytelling.
Demonstrated ability to make complex or unfamiliar ideas feel simple and emotionally resonant.
Experience shaping or contributing to brand voice and messaging for a new product or category.
