Audience Engagement is a diverse collection of essential editors, programmers and specialists that are responsible for the fan experience with editorial content and streams on virtually all of ESPN's digital offerings. Teams program the homepage for ESPN.com and the ESPN App's industry-leading audience, while operating nearly 24/7 including sending hundreds of editorial news alerts daily. A Watch team manages the CTV app experience, elevating the best, most urgent live events in ESPN's portfolio of rights. All are done utilizing real-time metrics and editorial judgment to elevate the most compelling and urgent content. The copy desk touches all outputs while enhancing tone, readability, and accuracy of the editorial operation. While an SEO team maximizes the reach and types of content that fans are searching for off platform as well.
This person will be trained in sending editorial news alerts to the ESPN App and the ESPN Fantasy App. This encompasses news, live events, written stories, highlights and more. Regular decisions about which audience will receive the notification, how to tee up the content, verifying the accuracy, tone and style while maintaining our industry-best expectations for speed to fans’ lock screens. They will also have shifts where they will be responsible for programming the main news lane of the ESPN App, or the various fantasy index pages that appear on both web and app. This role is in Bristol, CT.

The hiring range for this position in Bristol, CT is $58,100.00 to $79,800.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
