People are no longer discovering brands only through Google results pages — they are asking AI assistants, searching social platforms, watching video, reading reviews, comparing products, validating claims through editorial sources and expecting connected digital experiences. At Havas, we are building a modern organic discovery capability that helps brands become visible, trusted and chosen across all of these moments.
We are looking for an SEO Director — Search & AI Discovery to lead this evolution for our clients and our agency. This is a senior role for someone who loves SEO fundamentals, but is equally excited by where the discipline is going: AI Overviews, LLM visibility, Search Everywhere, entity authority, structured retrieval, social search coordination, decision-led content and commercial growth.

This is not a narrow SEO delivery role. It is an opportunity to shape a future-facing organic discovery product inside a highly integrated agency village.
You will work cross-discipline every day with specialists across CSA, CX, analytics, data engineering, content, social, PR, ecommerce, media, strategy, UX and technology.
You will have access to data engineers and analytics specialists to help define, build and evolve advanced measurement frameworks, dashboards and client-owned reporting solutions.
You will be part of a team building our own AI-enabled tooling layer on top of Google Cloud Platform, using Vertex AI and related GCP capabilities to develop proprietary workflows, advanced analysis and smarter organic discovery tools.
You will help define how brands show up not only in traditional search, but also in AI-generated answers, social search environments, video platforms, third-party editorial sources and high-intent decision journeys.
You will be at the forefront of Havas’ organic discovery initiatives — shaping frameworks, products, methodologies and client-facing points of view that the agency will keep using and evolving.
What you will lead
Senior SEO, AI Discovery and organic experience strategy for priority clients.
Commercial growth across existing clients, new opportunities, scopes, pitches and productised SEO/AIO services.
AI visibility and AIO frameworks, including AI inclusion, LLM prompt coverage, citation share, brand accuracy, sentiment, grounding and answer quality.
Search Everywhere strategy across Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, PR/editorial surfaces, review environments and client websites.
Content and entity authority strategies, including decision assets, topical authority, proof points, semantic coverage, structured content and citation-worthy assets.
Technical SEO and structured retrieval readiness, ensuring client sites are crawlable, indexable, parseable, fast, well-structured and useful for both people and machines.
Measurement requirements in partnership with data engineers and analytics specialists, connecting organic discovery to brand demand, conversion, revenue and assisted commercial outcomes.
Team mentoring, capability development, QA standards, playbooks, training and product innovation.
Who you are
A senior SEO leader with 7+ years’ experience and a strong grounding in technical SEO, content strategy, site architecture, measurement and client leadership.
Commercially sharp — confident identifying growth opportunities, shaping scopes, supporting pitches and linking organic discovery to business outcomes.
Curious about the future of search and already experimenting with AI Discovery, AI Overviews, LLM visibility, prompt testing, social search or emerging discovery behaviours.
A strong collaborator who enjoys working across disciplines rather than operating in a silo.
Comfortable leading clients, coaching teams and translating complexity into clear, practical action.
Someone who wants to help build the next generation of SEO — not just maintain the current one.
