Appian is looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Web Content Manager to contribute to the evolution and maintenance of our web presence. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end production of high-impact web experiences, ensuring our CMS remains healthy, scalable, and user-friendly. Rather than just executing updates, you will manage the intake of stakeholder requests and enforce a content lifecycle strategy. You will also play a critical role in empowering other teams through distributed authoring, ensuring our global web footprint is consistent, modern, and optimized for conversion.
Web Experience Production & Scaling:
Partner with Content and PMM teams to ensure web content is engaging, accessible, and aligned with company strategy.
Partner with the SEO/AEO team to ensure web content is.optimized for organic growth
Partner with creative agencies to guarantee visual assets are produced in-time
Webpage Localization & Global Expansion:
Lead the execution of webpage localization, ensuring a seamless and culturally relevant experience for international markets.
Manage the workflow between internal teams and external translation agencies to ensure high-quality, timely localized content updates.
Design System and CMS Maintenance:
Monitor and maintain overall CMS health, collaborating with web engineering to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.
Strategic Intake & Stakeholder Management
Build a regular cadence with regional marketing leads to provide visibility into the web roadmap and production timelines.
Content Strategy & Lifecycle Governance
Partner with the performance team to lead conversion rate optimization (CRO) efforts on key landing pages through message and layout testing.
Team Enablement & Distributed Authoring:
Create and maintain documentation and guides for the CMS to ensure high-quality execution across the organization.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
Experience: 7+ years of related experience in web content management , with a strong focus on the B2B sector..
Technical Expertise: Deep expertise in enterprise-level CMS platforms (e.g.,Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore) and a strong understanding of how design systems power modern web architecture.
Operational Mindset: Proven track record of managing complex stakeholder environments and streamlining production workflows.
Skills: Clear, compelling communication with the ability to translate technical requirements into actionable insights for stakeholders.
The base salary for this role is between $75,000–$175,000 per year and represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant work experience, qualifications, internal peer equity, and market and business conditions that exist when extending an offer. A discretionary bonus may be awarded in recognition of individual and company performance.
