Job Description:
SEO / GEO / AIO Execution
Support the execution of SEO, GEO, and AIO strategies for client accounts across different industries.
Conduct keyword, topic, prompt, and intent research to identify opportunities across both search engines and AI answer platforms.
Optimize website content, landing pages, FAQs, category pages, and supporting content to improve discoverability and visibility.
Support content recommendations and brief development based on user intent, search trends, and AI answer behavior.
Monitor and analyze how brands, products, and competitors are represented across search engines and AI platforms.
Content & Search Optimization
Work with content, UX, and strategy teams to recommend on-page optimization, metadata improvements, internal linking, and content structuring.
Support the development of SEO- and GEO-friendly content frameworks, including entity coverage, FAQ strategy, schema opportunities, and citation readiness.
Identify opportunities to improve brand authority, answer relevance, and citation visibility in AI-generated responses.
Assist in content audits and gap analysis to identify missing themes, weak-performing pages, and competitor advantages.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track performance across SEO and emerging GEO/AIO metrics, including rankings, organic visibility, traffic trends, brand mentions, citation presence, and share of voice.
Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and actionable insights for internal teams and clients.
Analyze competitor performance and provide recommendations on how to improve brand visibility in both traditional and AI-driven search environments.
Support testing and learning initiatives to understand which content formats, structures, and signals perform best.
Technical & Platform Support
Partner with developers and technical teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented across websites and digital platforms.
Support technical SEO audits covering crawlability, indexation, site health, page speed, structured data, and mobile friendliness.
Work with CMS and digital platforms to ensure proper content implementation and governance.
Stay up to date on changes in search engine algorithms, Google AI Overviews, and AI discovery ecosystems, and translate them into practical recommendations.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with internal teams across content, data, technology, CXM, CRM, media, and analytics within Merkle and the broader dentsu network.
Support client-facing discussions by contributing insights, research, and performance updates.
Help shape internal best practices, frameworks, and playbooks for GEO / AIO capabilities as the discipline evolves.
Requirements
1–3 years of experience in SEO, content strategy, digital marketing, or search-related roles; agency experience is an advantage.
Good understanding of core SEO principles, including keyword research, on-page SEO, technical SEO, content optimization, and analytics.
Strong interest in the future of search, including AI search, AI Overviews, LLMs, answer engines, and Generative Engine Optimization.
Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush, and similar SEO platforms.
Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, Drupal, or equivalent is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and turn findings into practical recommendations.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin would be an advantage.
Detail-oriented, curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-evolving digital landscape.
University degree holder in Marketing, Business, Communications, IT, Journalism, or related disciplines.
Preferred / Advantageous
Exposure to AI-driven search tools, prompt testing, or content evaluation across LLM platforms.
Understanding of structured data, entity-based optimization, and digital content governance.
Experience supporting regional or multi-market clients.
Basic knowledge of HTML, web publishing, or technical implementation workflows.
Experience in preparing client reports, competitive analysis, and presentation materials.
