About this Role
We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Deputy Editor with a PhD in the physical sciences and a strong background in applied physics, electronics, or photonics to join our in‑house editorial team, with a particular focus on the growing Open Access flagship journal Advanced Physics Research.
This role combines scientific expertise, knowledge of the publishing landscape, and strong communication and networking skills to support the strategic development of one or more journals. The Deputy Editor will work closely with the Editor‑in‑Chief to raise the journal’s profile and visibility within the community, attract high‑quality submissions, and engage leading researchers worldwide.
The Deputy Editor is expected to participate actively in conferences, institute visits, and broader outreach activities, as well as to manage the peer‑review process and make editorial decisions on submitted manuscripts. Ensuring the adoption of best practices and the highest ethical standards in publishing is a core responsibility of the role.
