OPPORTUNITY
ANet is seeking a Director of Product Marketing to build and scale the messaging, proof, and sales enablement systems that drive adoption of Compass Math, a new assessment product.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the center of ANet’s growth strategy. You will work closely with Sales, Product, and Implementation to ensure district leaders clearly understand the value of Compass Math—and that Sales has the narratives, evidence, and materials needed to convert interest into pilots.
This role is ideal for a product marketer who wants to own real go-to-market impact, translating insight into action and directly influencing revenue and adoption.

Occasional travel (1-2 times per year) for team building and cross-team planning
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will be responsible for strengthening ANet’s go-to-market engine through clear positioning, persuasive proof, and disciplined messaging. Product Marketing shapes the entire funnel through messaging and positioning but is directly accountable for improving conversion from SQL → pilot.
Product Positioning & Messaging Strategy
- Define and refine Compass positioning and value proposition for priority segments
- Own the core messaging Sales uses to engage districts and move opportunities toward pilots
- Develop messaging that addresses buyer needs, objections, and decision criteria
- Ensure consistent use of messaging across sales materials, campaigns, and communications
- Partner with Product to incorporate market feedback and inform roadmap priorities
Case Studies and Sales Enablement
- Build and maintain a system of case studies, proof points, and sales materials that are actively used in outreach, meetings, and follow-up
- Equip Sales with clear narratives, talk tracks, and assets that improve SQL → pilot conversion
- Ensure materials are adopted and used by Sales—not just created
- Ensure all external claims are credible, defensible, and aligned with product reality
External Product Communications
- Develop clear, compelling messaging for product releases, pilot offerings, and service packages that Sales can use to drive engagement and adoption
- Ensure consistent, engaging communication that builds understanding and excitement about Compass Math
GTM Learning & Feedback Loops
- Collect structured buyer and product feedback from Sales and Implementation teams
- Identify recurring buyer objections, lost deals, and messaging gaps
- Provide regular synthesis to GTM and Product leaders to refine positioning and campaign strategy
- Translate insights into improved messaging, new proof points, refined GTM strategies
Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor competitor positioning and emerging trends in assessment and instructional coherence
- Inform marketing and product messaging with structured external insights
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:
Required
- 6–10+ years of experience in product marketing, market strategy, consulting, or insights roles within education or edtech
- Experience defining positioning and translating evidence into persuasive sales and marketing assets
- Bias toward action - comfortable producing and iterating quickly
- Background partnering cross-functionally with product, sales, and executive leaders
Expertise in Area of Focus: Demonstrated ability to turn data and partner experience into compelling positioning and enablement materials. Strong commercial judgment — understanding how district leaders evaluate solutions and make purchasing decisions. Ability to balance rigor with clarity, ensuring messaging is both credible and persuasive
Communication: Exceptional written communication skills—able to craft clear, concise, and persuasive messaging and materials for district audiences. Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, actionable narratives that Sales can use effectively
Critical Thinking & Data Orientation: Strong analytical mindset with experience synthesizing quantitative and qualitative inputs. Ability to identify meaningful patterns and translate them into actionable messaging. Comfort using AI tools and research platforms to accelerate synthesis and refine messaging. Sound judgment about framing and its impact on stakeholder perception
Planning & Prioritization: Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize based on revenue impact and strategic importance. Strong project management skills with attention to cross-functional coordination. Solution-oriented approach to ambiguity and evolving priorities

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is between $99,144 - $148,716. New hires will start between the range minimum and midpoint ($99,144 - $123,930) based on qualifications assessed during the hiring process, past experience, and internal equity. In order to uphold our commitment to transparent, equitable, competitive, and sustainable compensation, ANet does not negotiate pay.
