About this role:
We’re looking for a highly driven SEO & AI Search Manager to own and build our organic growth from the ground up. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role, from defining strategy to executing it. This is not a task-taker role. You'll be the person who sees the opportunity, defines the plan, and drives results. You'll be the founding member of our SEO function, initially a team of one, with a dedicated SEO writer and freelancers.
You'll work in a modern fintech environment where organic visibility directly impacts revenue, and where you'll collaborate closely with PR, Content, UX/UI, Design, and Web teams.
The ideal candidate is deeply self-driven, thrives with ownership, and knows how to balance long-term strategy with near-term execution.
If you've built organic channels from scratch, are excited about the AI search shift, and want real ownership in a fast-growing fintech company, we'd love to hear from you.
Reporting Line: Performance Marketing Team Lead
Location: Limassol, Cyprus
Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the full SEO strategy (technical, content, and off-site), aligned with business goals such as traffic, lead generation, and revenue growth.
- Lead AI & Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) initiatives — develop strategies to increase visibility across AI-powered search platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews), ensuring the brand is surfaced, cited, and recommended.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitive analysis — identify ToFu, MoFu, and BoFu opportunities, uncover content gaps, and translate insights into a prioritised roadmap.
- Drive technical SEO excellence — oversee site architecture, crawlability, indexing, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, hreflang, canonicalisation, and page speed in collaboration with Web Product and UX/UI teams.
- Own content strategy and production — brief, edit, and quality-control SEO content created by the in-house SEO writer and freelancers, ensuring alignment with organic growth objectives.
- Build and scale the link-building strategy — define off-site SEO approach and collaborate with PR on digital PR initiatives and backlink acquisition (with potential agency support).
- Measure, analyse, and report on performance — set up dashboards, define OKRs, and track key metrics including rankings, traffic, CTR, and revenue contribution.
- Stay ahead of industry trends — monitor algorithm updates, AI search evolution, and emerging SEO practices, proactively adapting strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally — embed SEO best practices across Content, UX/UI, Design, PR, and Web initiatives from the outset.
What we need:
- 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally within B2B fintech, SaaS, or tech-driven product environments.
- Proven experience building and scaling SEO strategies end-to-end (full ownership from strategy to execution).
- Strong track record of driving measurable growth in organic traffic, leads, and revenue — not just rankings.
- Deep technical SEO expertise, including site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, hreflang, and log file analysis.
- Solid understanding of AI search / GEO and how large language models surface and cite content.
- Strong content strategy capabilities, including editorial planning and optimisation frameworks.
- Experience with link-building and digital PR strategies (outreach, HARO/Connectively, guest posting, broken link building).
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and present results to stakeholders.
- Highly self-driven and proactive, with the ability to operate autonomously and take ownership of outcomes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Nice to have:
- Experience within payments, fintech, or financial services industries.
- Experience working with freelancers or building and managing small execution teams.
