Master’s degree in Life sciences, Pharmacy, Journalism, English, or a related field, or equivalent experience

The position requires candidates to be comfortable working across a broad range of therapeutic/medical areas and editorial content, from news to reference articles to video scripts and more.
The Team lead must have strong copy-editing skills and the ability to train, guide and motivate junior and senior copyeditors in their day-to day work, helping to ensure timely production and updates of editorial content.
Master’s degree in Life sciences, Pharmacy, Journalism, English, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Candidates with ELS certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years copy-editing experience with 1-2 year experience in mentoring and leading junior and senior copyeditors for pharmaceutical/medical writing industries, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
Strong copy editing skills: spelling, punctuation, grammar, fact checking, proofreading, attention to appropriate tone
Deep knowledge of AP and AMA style
Experience in copy-editing for the electronic environment preferred
Ability to analyze complex medical data and interpret for a physician audience
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to efficiently work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.

Excellent medical literature retrieval and evaluation skills
Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Manage 5-7 copy editors
Copy-editing content with focus on healthcare professionals
Experience in editing for US English and AMA style of medical writing editing
Responsible for all copy editing-related aspects of each assigned project as per the style guide to annotating per source references and performing QA checks
Copy must be accurate, clean, well-organized, and adhere to technical specifications
Project and Workload Management: Must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently, maintain highest quality, and meet copy deadlines. Must be able to interact effectively with internal teams (i.e., editorial, and writing) to ensure quality and smooth progression of projects
