The Manager, Product Marketing is responsible for leading the Consumer Product Marketing team and driving the strategic direction, execution, and performance of product marketing initiatives. This role oversees a team of Product Marketing Managers and is accountable for translating product and corporate strategy into compelling market positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution.
The Manager, Product Marketing will establish objectives, prioritize initiatives, and ensure consistent execution across the product portfolio while partnering closely with Product Management, Sales, Demand Generation, and other cross-functional stakeholders. This role reports to the VP of Product Marketing and has direct people management responsibility.
Expected Duties:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Marketing Managers, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and career development support
Set and communicate product marketing strategy and priorities aligned to company objectives and product roadmaps
Oversee messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies across assigned consumer product lines
Ensure high-quality execution of product launches, sales enablement materials, customer-facing messaging, and marketing collateral
Partner closely with Product Management to align on market insights, product strategy, roadmaps, pricing, and packaging
Drive cross-functional alignment with Sales, Demand Generation, Brand, and Customer-facing teams to ensure consistent and effective execution
Review, prioritize, and allocate team workload to ensure focus on initiatives with the greatest business impact
Provide guidance and escalation support on complex or high-impact product marketing initiatives
Use market research, customer insights, and performance data to inform strategy and continuous improvement
Represent Product Marketing in cross-functional planning, reviews, and leadership discussions

Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop product marketing professionals
Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate strategy into clear priorities and execution plans
Deep understanding of product marketing fundamentals, including positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, and sales enablement
Ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive alignment without direct authority
Ability to analyze market, customer, and performance data to inform decisions and resolve complex problems
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
Ability to manage competing priorities and guide teams through ambiguity
Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, including demonstrated people leadership experience
