Own and elevate combined AEO & SEO performance across a portfolio of accounts, with clear priorities and measurable outcomes — while proactively expanding our capability into AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) as search behavior evolves. This role is for someone senior enough to set the standard for how we execute SEO, and curious enough to explore what “organic growth” looks like in a world of AI answers. This is for someone who is ready to build a team underneath them and has desires for personal growth.
What you’ll do
Own AEO & SEO strategy and performance for a portfolio of accounts, with clear priorities and measurable outcomes.
Lead audits and diagnose what’s actually holding growth back (technical, content, structure), then drive the plan to fix it.
Set direction for content and page strategy (what to build, what to refresh, what to consolidate, what to kill), aligned to intent and conversion.
Partner closely with Creative, Strategy & Position, and CRO to get initiatives shipped end-to-end (briefs, requirements, QA, measurement).
Build an operating cadence: roadmap, weekly priorities, clear updates, and a repeatable way of working.
Translate performance into simple insights and next steps for internal teams and clients.
Raise the bar: improve standards, templates, documentation, and processes so SEO output compounds over time.
Proactively research and test AEO opportunities across accounts (where answers surface, what influences visibility, and what to do about it).
Track and share learnings: define what success looks like, what to measure, and how we report progress as the landscape changes.
Turn experiments into a repeatable approach we can apply across the portfolio.
What we’re looking for
Strong technical + strategic SEO foundation, and the judgment to prioritize what matters.
Senior execution ability: you can run workstreams end-to-end and influence cross-functional teams without needing heavy management.
Commercial mindset: you connect SEO work to demand, pipeline, or revenue — not just rankings.
Deep curiosity for how organic discovery is evolving, having already taken steps to implement AEO in your current role.
Comfortable with ambiguity and high ownership; you create clarity and momentum.
Nice to have
Experience in the US market, lead gen, or ecommerce.
SEO + CRO fluency (landing pages, experimentation, conversion-minded content).
Agency or portfolio experience owning SEO across multiple accounts and stakeholders.
Hands-on experience with AEO (e.g., optimizing for featured snippets/PAAs, entity/intent clarity, structured data, or testing visibility across AI answer surfaces) — even if it’s early-stage experiments.
